Art prompts at Luenna are formatted into "quests" and "assignments" for your students to undertake over the course of their studies.Assignments are usually given by Luenna faculty, and/or other NPCs throughout Evenir. Most of the time, these assignments accompany quests, in case your student would rather do the former than the latter.Quests are separated into two main categories: Main Story Quests and Side Quests.

MAGIC


Magic in Evenir is granted through the presence of Runestones.

They are the primary source of magic, turning the surrounding terrain into mystical lands and nearby inhabitants into elemental spell-wielding Magi. It is also well known that these Runestones have equally powerful creatures, known as Rune Protectors, defending them from any threat.Many civilizations in the past settled around these Runestones so that they could take advantage of their great power. In some cases, they accomplished this by creating a symbiotic relationship with their corresponding Protectors.As time went on, living near Runestones gradually caused a mysterious marking to appear on some people. These markings are now known as rune markings, and they determine which type of magic a magician is born with.

Above, you'll see some common rune markings for each magic type. However, you are not limited to these designs. Your rune marking can be of any shape or placement on the body as long as it is appropriate.

In order to wield magic in this world, your character must have a rune marking of some kind. It is important to note that your magic type is determined by the area you are born in.Magicians will bear the rune marking of the Runestone closest to them when they are born. However, for countries where there are many Runestones nearby (or none at all), there is a much wider range of options and diverse magic.

RACES OF EVENIR


Though there are many different forms of magical fauna and flora, in terms of humanoid races, there are 7 drastically different species that have successfully become the most populous in Evenir:
Elves, Humans, Valiris, Amphi, Sugarkin, Sylblooms, and the Children of Aolress.
All seven races have their own distinct origins, yet most have come together to live in various societies with different beliefs towards race, religion, and politics.

As the Celestial War began to split the continent of Stella Centralis into a frenzy, a mysterious witch requested a court with the revolutionary who called himself the Crescent King. The witch requested resources such as land and opals for the purpose of creating an international magistery, one which aimed to unite all world leaders under one organization. No one knew exactly where she came from, nor the exact details of the exchange between the two figures — but we do know that she successfully persuaded the King, as the Magistery of Magic was founded soon after their meeting.For a while, the Magistery acted as a governing circle consisting of powerful Magi such as the head of Dulgari's most powerful tribe, the Vassirian Sultan, the Hand of Lilianthe, and the heir to the Aeon's leading merchant family. In this time of war and escalating tensions between countries, the Magistery was the only force that could unite the people of Evenir under one cause.This unification did not last for long, unfortunately. Despite the witch's attempts to quell the growing worldwide hostilities, it seemed as if the entire world of Evenir had descended into bloodshed. Civil wars, plague, famine, and destruction tore across every continent. The leading members of the Magistery could no longer perform their duties on its council, as they had to prioritize stabilizing their home countries.Without any support or attendance, the Magistery of Magic eventually collapsed, becoming yet another monument lost to time.The witch was devastated by this failure. The allies she had formed close connections with over the years had all become enraged warmongers, blinded by their desire for revenge after facing the crimes committed upon their countries and people. This time, she was unable to bring them to their senses. All that remained of her dreams was the grand building the Magistery once called home.As the Celestial War drew to a close, the witch realized something very important.During the centuries of bloodshed and plague, she came to understand that the minds of the old world leaders were stuck in the past, forever following tradition and their pride. Instead of fighting for peace, they fought to gain power and glory. Unless something was done, this violent cycle would continue to fester until there was nothing left of Evenir to conquer.Things would never change unless she could get to the source — Evenir's youth, the future generations who would come to change the course of history.The witch had made up her mind. She would reform the Magistery into an academy for the magicians, tamers, virtuosos, and warriors who would grow to lead Evenir. With this, she would inspire an era of healing and regeneration.Many students of the modern day Luenna, School of the Magi, are surprised to learn that the witch who formed the Magistery all those years ago is their very own headmistress, Arienne Centurium. If you happen to catch her roaming the campus during her rare periods of rest, she might just recount the tale to you herself...
